Charitable Trust

Since 1939, the Goebel family and STAR LUMBER have operated with the philosophy of giving back to the community a portion of what the community has given to them. We feel that it is a privilege to serve the Central Kansas region.

It is with these thoughts that STAR LUMBER is proud to pledge 10% of pre-tax operating profits back to our communities. We are proud to maintain this long-standing tradition.

Because the demand for donations often far exceeds our limits we have formed the Goebel Family STAR LUMBER Charitable Trust to administer all corporate funding of money or materials to charities that benefit the community as a whole. This trust is administered by a Board of Trustees who regularly meet on the third Thursday of the odd-numbered months. Written requests are reviewed and responses given to all applications.
